Belt Auction

how do i put the belt back on the proper way? on a bolens riding lawn mower?

i put it on the way the diagram showed me and my mower still would not start. it would turn over a little bit but not all the way and i was wondering if the belt is what's causing it not to turn over? is there a diagram that will show me how?

1. I doubt the mowing deck drive belt would affect the engine starting. But yes, if the mowing deck is turning when the engine is cranking, that's not how most riding mowers should operate - you should be able to disengage the blades when starting and moving the mower. Also, if you have the right size belt, it's hard to imagine how it could go on wrong and still fit.
2. Put the lever for the belt in engage position,is the belt tight? disengage the lever is the belt loose? if that's ok charge the battery.
