How long will designer brand jeans be in style?

I want to know everyone's opinion on designer jeans like Rock and Republic, True Religion, 7's, Citizens, Joe's, Diesel? How much longer do you think they'll stay "hot" or "in style"? Or will they just keep going like Gucci, Burberry, Louis Vuitton as accessories(bags, belts, wallets). Or do you think they will go out of style and something else will take over?

  1. No one says you can't be in style without having a high price label on the back of your jeans. You can be in style with similar styles, cuts, and washes. Doesn't need to be 7 for all mankind or True Religion.
  2. Jeans are classics which means they never go out of style...the ones you named are all high quality so any 'trends' they are parts of would simply be by the cut or something of the jean. classics are investments so don't worry about being outdated...even hippie jeans are back
  3. Knowing how long they've been in style, I'd say they're going to be popular for quite a while. I really don't see an end to it. But some designer jeans are actually really comfortable and are good quality. Don't judge jeans by their brand. =D
  4. Like everything else, styles change quite often. But styles do come back every once in awhile. But brand names rarely go out of style.
  5. i don't care, i will continue to wear my true religions, 7's, R&Rs, and Hudsons. i love them.
  6. i'm gonna say that any european brand is going to stay on top longer than and american brand. the europeans set style trends and they have a much better hold on fashion that we do in america. just look at jordache jeans. when i was little that's what everyone cool wore. now they sell then in kmart or walmart. so you never know, your true religion might be in target next week!
  7. Just like any other jeans, it's mainly the style that remains. What's great about designer jeans is they are better quality, don't fade as much or quickly, last longer, and are generally made in the USA (not a sweat shop). True Religion has a lot of Great Wall of China jeans that have a lot of embroidery and designs that I would say remain in style for very long. I've had several pairs of 7, Citizens, Joe's, etc. that have lasted me years. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2994686/0~2376780~6009391~6009905~6009908?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6009908&P=1 Buying a pair of super-flare jeans might not be the smartest option, but I think a uniform-wash (darker rinse) straight leg or bootleg would remain in style... forever! (Even though their skinny jeans are absolutely fabulous too... I wear mine all the time, so it's worth the $200 for me.)
  8. Most likely a long time.. when do diesighner jeans ever go out of style? If something else does take over i'm guessing it will be another type of desighner clothing! But i really don't think they will be taken over. =D
  9. I think they will go out like most other brands do. Our economy will be a HUGE influence on this, and I think most of these brands will not survive over the next 5 years or so. Diesel has been around for quite awhile. I think those middle ground designer brands will fail to be honest.
