I can't check my hotmail-states page can't be displayed.?

Anytime I try to go to hotmail or a site like prudential real estate and click on the link to the site it states that the page can't be displayed. All of the other internet pages are working. I reset all of my internet options and called yahoo att dsl. It worked a couple of days ago and now it won't.

1. While I am not certain as to what your problem is at is can be a number of things but one thing I do know for sure is this: It depends on the type of OS you are using. Something like ME or XP if set up with privacy and security, will sometimes do this as a form of protection as it usually means that you have picked up a phishing cookie or some sort of virus or trojan. Other times, it is just that the site is down for maintenance or the problem is with your provider.
2. Try using a different browser first; try it from your friend's system who might be using the same isp. If the problem still persists, try using some proxy. If again, try formatting your OS.. the ultimate solution. If again.... call those site owners.
