How do I get on a builders bidding list?

I would like builders to consider my fence company when they build new developments but I can't get them to respond.

1. If you have bid proposals, from your company whatever send it to the development company. you just need to know what size and what kind of fencing and you can find out the size at the permit office. its public information. GOold LuCk
2. Go around to your local contractors and introduce and tell them about your business. If you have to visit them on a job site. Make sure you leave a business card and grt one from them. Keep in contact with them. It only take one good job to help get a reference from them. Even if you do a job from your own contact ask that customer if you can use them as a reference. What ever you do dont give up. Once you get in the loop things will start to happen. Just remember that your first contact with them should be a personal one. That some times is the one they will remember. Who knows you might show up just as the need arrives. Good Luck.
3. How do you approach them? Call their office and explain that you are a fence sub and ask if you can mail or fax some information. Sometimes they will give you the info over the phone. Be sure to address your information to purchasing manager. Keep trying. Good luck.
