Can you carry any type of pistol with a CCW license?

They have replica MP5 pistols called a GSG-5, they have a version that is actually classified as a pistol its a .22. With a CCW license would that give you permission to carry one of these on your person? If it does, thats the craziest thing ever! haha. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=120510395 Thats a picture of the pistol. Actually if you youtube the name theres a bunch of reviews that people say they put over 200 rounds through it without 1 malfunction. But oh man could you imagine someone breaking into your home and just lighting them up with a good 20 rounds.

  1. Yes you can as long as it passes the inspection buy the county or state police. I also have a cpl/ccw permit. But that gun looks kind of big , But if it fits you and you like the way it shoots and you can carry without showing it and being comfortable then go for it......
  2. CCW is for concealed weapons.. Where would you put that!????? Never mind, I don't wanna know!! LOL!
  3. I think you said it the best when you wrote "craziest thing ever". These .22s may be fun at the range when they are not jammed, but completely unsuitable for the serious business of a weapon for concealed carry. You would need to check local and state laws. It would be ok in some states and not allowed in others.
  4. To answer the title question; It depends on the state you live in. Some states limit you to the gun you take the class with, some allow any gun you qualify with, some limit it to the type of gun you qualify with, and some allow you to carry any gun concealed if you have the permit. I could easily conceal the gun you think is so crazy, with the right coat.
  5. Some states require you to specify which weapon(s) you intend to carry with the license. Florida's CCW allows you to carry any weapon in the state code, as long as you can conceal it. Pennsylvania, however, restricts CCW to handguns only. Bottom line, it all depends on the state. I don't see how you could keep that concealed. States that allow concealed carry consider accidental exposure or even "printing" through clothing to be a violation (concealed means concealed).
