Is there a size inbetween 38 and 40 for mens pants?

My husband is having a problem with his pants. A 38 is a little to small, however a 40 is a little to big. Is there an inbetween size, or does he just have to use a belt?

1. Generally speaking men's pants waist sizes are done in 2 inch increments.
2. I dont know about that but i know that men look very nice in belts maybe you could try and get him to wear a belt! My Bf wears Wranglers and he has a 31 and a 32 in those so if he will wear them you may try wranglers you could look somewhere like cavenders or baskins for them!
