ebay bidding on a dirtbike with no title?

im bidding on a dirtbike with no title i mean i could give a crap if it has a title but do alot of dirtbikes on ebay have no title and can i get in trouble at all he said he will write out a bill of sale ive done a lil bit of research and found a few more on ebay with no title. will it be hard for me to sell it when it comes to that time.

  1. i dont no if you need a title but im sure it would be good to have one?
  2. A lot of states do not require a title. But some do. Check with your local state DMV, to see if you need one for that bike. If you need a title, then worry about it. Have the seller give you the Manufactures Statement of Origin with the bill of sale and bike. Also check the DMV in the state it's coming from to see if a title is needed in that state, and bid accordingly.
  3. No title, no deal. It could be stolen............ya' think? And then what would you do? Not worth the problem. Spend a few more bucks and get one legally.
  4. I second the "bike is stolen" comment. Your going to be sorry if you find out the hard way. Be safe and pay a little more for a bike with a title. Dirt bikes get stolen all the time here in Arizona and sold on the internet. The cops really crack down on it at trail heads. If you get caught, your done. What are you going to say? "Um, I bought it on the internet." Yea, good one.
