What do you think of McCain's new found love of Ebay?
"The presumptive Republican presidential nominee regularly asserts that 1.3 million people worldwide ``make a living off EBay.'' He holds up the figure as evidence the world's largest Internet auctioneer is a model for job and economic growth." http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080624/pl_bloomberg/ajxbcbplynwy Do you agree with me that the man has lost it?

- Thats where he gets his pampers from. It's cheaper.
- McCain is an idiot. Then again, Obama is an idiot also. A choice between two idiots. I think I will vote third party for the first time this year.
- Lets elect him and give him Ebay account. McCain trades from Oval Office every day from 9AM till 5PM and by the end of the day the federal deficit is fully patched with presidential profits.
- Dear Supporter, Please stop smearing McCain. It makes you and me look bad - not that we need any help. This is dirty politics as usual. HOPE & CHANGE - HOPE & CHANGE!!!
- McCain is Ebaying...maybe that's why I still haven't gotten that item I ordered 3 weeks ago. It's not intentional... older people just tend to forget. Though this would be a nice transition (if elected) into giving him money and getting nothing in return.
- Ebay? For crying out loud are people that have garage sales "independent contractors"? McCain has clearly lost whatever was left of his mind.
- Actually, he was talking about the "average person" being able to avail themselves of an international market place without restrictive business interfering. He also went on to say that the EBAY model was a great showcase for American ingenuity and that it shows that Americans can conduct business around the world without having to have highly specialized education and a lot of money. If you actually pay attention to what the man said instead of a soundbite you would get the full picture. And he was 100% correct.
- I don't agree with you that McCain has lost it. I know several people who do have their own business and a good portion of their online sales are done through eBay. I wouldn't say it is a reliable indicator of economic growth, but it is a good vehicle for entreprenurship? Absolutely!
- Lost it? I don't think he had anything to LOSE to begin with. You have to have a brain first before you can lose it. McCain just hasn't caught onto that fact yet.
- I don't think much of it. I am just surprised that he even knows what EBay is. Yes, I agree. However, I think he lost it a while back.
- Oh get off it, ask a real question that actually has substance.
- He's desperately trying to show that he's "hip" and up on things. Yikes! This guy doesn't have a clue about the economy.
- I have scanned the article. The 1.3 million includes people who earning a living by Ebay and those need to sell some stuff for extra cash. The actual number of those who earn a living by EBay is a little over half the number. He is not up to speed.
- He has earlier admitted he doesn't know how to use a computer and I would be surprised if he could turn on a cell phone. This makes me believe this is a factoid that someone fed him, thinking it was true and interesting, or a mishearing of something he was told. Nonetheless, thinking that selling things on eBay is a model for job and economic growth is laughable.
