Why do people use ebay sniper?

I get that ebay sniper will bid for you during the last seconds of the bid. But I thought ebay automatic bidder will bid for you at long as it stays in your maximum bid amount. And in the ebay sniper tool, you also have to decide on the maximum amount of money you're willing to bid. If that's the case, how is it better than ebay automatic bidder if the ebay one will also automatically bid higher for you too for a certain amount of money?

2. Bidding early does you no good. It is a waste of money. An auction is won at the end. Sniping wins auctions, auto bidding just bumps up the bidding and increases the cost of the auction for everyone. I win over 90% of what I want by sniping. Bidding early is for newbies.
