Value of Franklin Library books circa 1986 or so?

I joined the Franklin Library book-a-month-type club back in the mid 80's. Every month I would get a new book. (These were supposedly the 100 Greatest Books or whatever...stuff like Pride and Prejudice, David Copperfield, etc.) They cost $12.50 plus tax and S&H at the time. I recently rediscovered a bunch of them in my basement, still in the boxes in mint condition. Since they were only $12.50, I'm sure they're not the really expensive true leather-bound versions, but they are in great shape and I would think collectible to someone. Does anyone know how I can find out what they are worth ? I started to just Freecycle them, but then it occurred to me I might be able to get something for them and figured I'd look into it.

  1. The Franklin books vary tremendously in value; many are worthless since they are not first editions. Most of what determines the value of a book is its condition. You can get some freel for any specific book from these web sites: www.bookfinder.com www.abebooks.com www.albrisis.com
