Belt Auction

I'm working on a 85 cadillac fleetwood rw the 4.1 motor in it can't find diagram for v-belts?

car was already taken apart and doesn't have belt diagrams under hood brought car from a friend it needed a timing chain.car is already fixed just having problems with belts

1. Call your local auto parts, I know Gates has routing diagrams listed in the front of their master catalog or in an appendix.
2. Time to get ye olde Chilton's book of car lore...go down to the parts store and look for caddy books...they got em. www.chiltonsonline.com
3. Frequently the belt packaging will have the most common applications diagrammed on the back of the pack otherwise head to the library and get the Chilton or Motor book for your vehicle or at least it's engine and you should be good to go...BTW for ~$20 you can get your vehicle's repair manual on-line for a year at http://www.chiltondiy.com/index.aspx
4. Contact the Cadillac & LaSalle Owners Club for pointers on repairing older Cadillacs.
