Why are Jim Shore collectibles made in China?

I've noticed that all of my jim shore collectibles have made in china on the bottom, including the signed one I got at WDW Florida. 1) does this mean my pieces are worthless 2) been on his web site and there was no mention of china Help!

1. Everything is made in China, it shouldn't be a surprise.
2. Many famous brand companies now have manufacturing facilities in China to take advantage of cheap labor there. However, the productions are under direct supervision and strict directive of the parent companies, so the quality and integrity of their products (even made in China) can be assured.
