How can I set a maximum bidding price on eBay?
So I am trying to sell an item on eBay with a starting price of $19.99. I do not want the final bidding price to go over $25, because I don't really feel like paying the enormous fee if it goes over $25. Is there a way to set a maximum bid price? If you have any questions for me, just email me at riceaustin@gmail.com. Thanks for the help.

- Oh, clueless one, the final value fee is a percentage of the total. So if you sell at over $25, even after fees, you still come out ahead. If you want the price to be $25 and have no bidding, list it that way.
- buy it now helps
- Why would you want to set a ceiling price? If you make more money, sure you pay E-bay a higher fee, but you still receive a higher profit in return. If you do not want it to go over a maximum price however, end the auction, and start a new auction with buy it now (which costs an additional fee).
- If you just throw your item in the garbage, you won't have to pay eBay any fees at all. You win!
