Question About Mens Jeans Waste Size?

Okay I own 33 inch jeans and they aren't tight around my waste at all. In fact a bit loose. I could wear them without a belt but they may slip down a bit. I measured by waste around with a tape measure properly below hip. 35.5 inches. Does that mean I should buy that size jeans? I do have problems with my thighs being too wide for most jeans (22 inches.) ideas?

1. Your waist is above the hip, below your navel. You should buy ones that fit, however if 33" ones don't fit you well enough, wear a belt, or buy 32" waist jeans. A 33" waist by one manufacturer will fit differently than one from another, and even amongst the same manufacturer there will be different fits.
