what are you re feelings on Gypsy's?

i am one and have my own plot of land all tarmacked and walls up gates on it and a big shally thats something thats licke a trailer but is not.there are 10 big plots all to gether on green belt land and the council passd it for life all who live her are rominey gypsys.i live in doncaster uk

2. I love the idea of the Romany way of life, and no I'm not predjudiced against Gypsies. The few i've met have always been good people. Good Luck to you.
3. Gypsy's are human by my account. I don't think I am better nor worse than them. What Gypsy's do have is a richer culture than ours... If you can speak French, listen to 'le gitane' by Les Compagnons de la chanson.
4. everyone chooses the way they want to live, if that is what you want then don't bother abt what ppl say or think, its ur happiness that counts

6. I'm a teacher and I've worked with Gypsies and Travellers for several years. They are some of the nicest people I have worked with. Trouble is as with a lot of groups of people bad press from a few individuals can mess things up and give the whole group a bad name.
7. I think the problem is that" The great unwashed" that live in a caravan, claim Benefit, steal anything that's not bolted down, Run their cars without MOT. Tax Insurance, And generally make a complete nuisance of themselves. Call Themselves"Gypsy's" give Real Gypsy's such as yourself a bad name, Its sad but people do tend to get "Tared" with the same brush,, Pardon the pun.
8. There are different kinds of people. Once a gipsy woman robbed me in the street. I was 16 and honestly couldn't do anything to prevent it. I was upsed and mad at that time. But it could happen to anyone and not only gipsy people rob others. Another example, my grandma is Gipsy. And she's a very nice lady. I don't have anything against any nation or country in the world. The whole nation can not be responsible for certain individuals.
9. It's funny how people not experienced with Gypsies say nice things about them. I know people from countries where there's a high Gypsy population (among those people, my mom) and trust me, people that have dealt with Gypsies don't have nice things to say: Gypsies are generally seen as dishonest and unhygienic by people who have had experiences with them. Sorry. I knew I'd get thumb downs -- but if I were to replace the word "gypsy" with "Hispanic", then I would get thumbs up --- it's alright to thrash Hispanics on Y!A, I guess.
