How much did Republicans make auctioning Sarah Palin's Clothes?
Was it a secret auction as I have not heard the results. They promised to auction therm off so I assumed they already did? How much did they raise? I don't think they will fit Bobby Jindall or Mitt Romney so they will have to go if they haven't already. Do they include Bristol's maternity clothes or is she planning on needing them again? Nancy Pelosi's plane? Do you mean the ones Bush made mandatory after 9/11?
Public Comments
- Do you have a Palin fetish?
- I think she still has them.
- I heard they made quite a bit just from your bid for her underpants.
- they were going for the same amount as the Illinois Senate Seat.
- Darn! Now we can't sniff the underwear.
- Just over 400k donated to charity for the sale of her clothes.
- I suppose your thinking this is clever of you to think of- sad!
- How many antiques did the Obamas break holding their taxpayer paid weekly bashes with Stevie Wonder,Earth Wind and Fire. Party while Rome burns around you.
- I don't know how much he paid but I think Rudy Guiliani bought them. He does dig wearing women's clothes.
- I don't know, but I hear they are donating it all to the "Buy Nancy Pelosi a New Bigger Plane" fund. Poor dear has to stop and refuel when she jets home to CA every weekend with the puny little private plane the taxpayers have provided her with.
- Have not heard a single word from them,(GOP). She has been seen wearing several of the suits that were purchased at that time though.
- not enuf to pay off oBama's waygu beef parties at the WH.
- I am sure it was enough to cover the national debt, because palin is sooooo important.
- How much would America save by not allowing Pelosi to use government planes to fly herself and her family around the U.S.? Do you get upset about that?
- my guess they didnt it was just another broken promise.
- Obviously not enough to keep them alive.
- Leni writes: "She has been seen wearing several of the suits that were purchased at that time though." Lie.
- If Palin had kept them, she would have had to add their value to her income, and then possibly pay tax on it. I do want to point out that Palin's weaknerr was not her clothing or her family foibles, but her purely ideological approach to politics and inability to think deeply. She was up on political one-liners, but has no analytical and minimal thinking skills. I am basing my opinion on her public appearances during the campaign.
- I don't think they have auctioned it off yet. We'd hear about it if that did happen. If the Palin Cabbage Patch doll that was auction off sold for over $10,000, then I'm sure her campaign clothes are worth as much. Some clothes she wore on the campaign trail were her own though. The owner of the consignment shop she frequents said she noticed several outfits that came from the store.
