- That's a service that is valuable. You can take them to an appraiser or an auction house to get the value. Or, you can do the research yourself. Type each item into a search engine and loook at other sites where the same thing is for sale. Use the Ebay "completed items" function on the left hand side of the page. Jars, bottles and books are cool, but they're not rare so they don't bring in much money. .
- Hello there. That's been a needed service for many! I've been collecting some of the same type antiques for YEARS. I've found some of my best information by books. I've not been a big fan of reading or a patient enough person to spend the time it takes to find the right book and then read all the extra to actually find the specific info I needed. But. . .There are books that I've foung that had the type of information and ideas of value or specific value. If you'll take the time to find a few books with the antiques that fit your interest type best, It's well worth it. I also rely on watching e-bays action. I wouldn't rely on e-bay for actual value, but you can learn alot from the action there. I've got alot of the same type collections you ask about. I'll help more if I can. wadesworks at hotmail. Hope this will do some good. Wade
- Hi; I love to research and use several ways to answer questions. I use Dogpile.com, it's a great search engine. Also iantiquesonline.ning.com/ It's free and the members are always helpful. My member name is Loietta on this site. for your books use abs.com I once bought a book for .50 and sold it for $250.00,just depends on the book. Once you reach the site it's easy to use.
