automatic bidding on ebay?

say I am bidding on something and the current highest bid is 50 dollars. And it has 40 minutes left in the auction. If I put a bid of 70 dollars will I have to pay 70 dollars or will ebay do the automatic bid thing?

1. You will only pay the minimum price that is not bidded. If you bid $70. and the other bidder bid $55. then the new price is $56.
2. If you put your auto bid at $70, it will keep bidding a slightly higher price each time somebody bids higher than you. It will continue until it reaches $70, if it reaches $70. If somebody else puts their auto bid at $65 for example, and you put your auto bid max to $100, you will beat his highest bid, and will have the product for slightly over $65 until somebody raises above your max bid or the auction ends.
3. eBay will bid up to $70 for you. wait 'til there's 2 minutes left in the auction, so the item won't get as expensive. Good luck!
