you could try clones. Giga Golf and Pinemeadow make their clubs out of the same materials the "big named" companies (17-4 and 431 steel). Forged clubs are a different matter, so you might want to look around. Golf Etail is a good company- I've bought a few shafts from them- never had a problem. You need to look kinda hard at places like that, though- left-handed choices are scarce, but in those environments, it's even more scarce.
