Belt Auction

Do celebrities ever auction off clothing they've worn online for money or for a good cause?

Chace Crawford had a Myspace video about donating your old, unused jeans to homeless kids. But why don't actors and other famous people sell their clothing to fans in order to raise money for good causes like this? Does this happen anywhere? On any websites? You can't really trust ebay...

  1. David Archuleta has sold his CDs, shirts, posters, and a bracelet that he wore throughout the Idol Tour and all the money raised went to one of his favorite charities :) I thought it was pretty cool.

  4. This happens all the time. Red carpet gowns, stuff they wore to the Oscars and all that other stuff like costumes worn on the sets of movies. As to the authenticity of the item, you should get a certificate of some sort if you purchase one.
  5. I see it quite a lot. But usually it's not like a private sale. They give their stuff to some organization that auctions it off.
