What does anyone think about becoming a new real estate agent?

Someone with experience to speak from only please... I have been approached by a very large real estate company with the opportunity to become a real estate agent. Considering the investment required and the current economic and market conditions, what does anyone think about beginning a career in real estate right now?

2. if its a big company, probably you should go along. The property cycle is normally of 7 years duration. There will be a property boom again. Good agents are making a lot of money even now.
