What are my obligations to real estate agents?
I want to advertise my property for rent but do not want to attach myself to one agent. Could I use many different agents to promote my property and pay commission due to the agents who manage to find me a tenant? I also want to advertise my property myself, do I have to pay any real estate agent if I find the tenant myself?

- I'm not too sure, i believe you will have to sign an agreement with a 'joint' or 'multi' agency fee. Also i'm sure it will be, if the agents introduce the tenant, they will want a fee from you! But i'm not 100% sure on lettings - Just be honest with them, and ask how it work :-)
- It's ok to use several estate agents. First person to let the property gets paid. Absolutely fine - so you don't have to lie to them. My approach would be to find a really good agency. perhaps one that was recommended. And to tell them they have a week 'exclusive'. This means they know they have a week with no competition - this might motivate them to shift your property above some of the others that they have. And if it doesn't work within a week, take it someplace else.
