Discount hotels outside of Manhattan?

We are planing to visit NYC with kids during the spring break. Any suggestion for a family oriented hotels under $100 for 2 nights? 2 adults, 3 kids. I know it is probably difficult at that budget. Any ideas will be appreciated.
