When bidding on ebay do you think that it is better to...?

wait until the last minute to place a bid or bid a few days in advance to make people less interested because there is already a bid. What do you think?

1. if u place a bid early u simply raise the bar and make someone else wwho wants it go higher. its best to wait for the last 5 minutes
2. i always bid at 30 seconds to go! then i dont end up bidding more than i wanted to spend and it makes people think nobody is interested so they question whether they should buy it themselves!
3. I always do it at the end because if it;s something that alot of people want, they'll go bid crazy right at the end.
