What do I do with my Ebay problem?

Alright, I am a hockey card collector. I was bidding for a Luke Schenn Rookie card. It has a cereal number and it was autographed. I had bid twice before and both of the auctions I had lost, with them ending at around 40 dollars. Both were lost at the very last minute as I didn't have the time to put a new bid in. The 3rd time, I put an automatic bid in at $69. I was expecting the same card that I had bid on before to end up at, I didn't expect for it to go as high as it did, and neither did my good friend who told me about automatic bidding. I have the money and I can send it to the seller. I have already requested a transfer from my bank account to paypal and it should be done in a few days. I told the seller that I didn't expect for it to go as high as it did, and that I was peeved off at another ebayer for screwing me over. I also told them that I could get the money to them in 5 days. What else can I do, I'm stuck!!! The bid ended up at 66.25 for the card. I was expecting it to end at 40, both of us were using automatic bidding. As I said, I told the seller I was angry at it being as high as it was.

  1. You signed a legally binding contract when you bid. You have no choice but to pay. But for future reference, you don't have to transfer funds to your PayPal account. They will automatically be withdrawn from your checking account if you don't have enough in your PayPal account already.
  2. Nothing you can do at this point. Now you know for future never to bid more than you're willing to pay. There will always be another Luke Schenn rookie card out there.
  3. I use to sell on Ebay & I have had problem with buying stuff also! automatic bidding is a option! I switched auction sites also! http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/rgentle
