- there is really no point in bidding now, it will just drive the price up. Enter your limit for how much you are willing to pay and if you win you win. This is the best way. If someone is willing to pay more than you lose.
- i say bid the max that you'd like to pay for this car when it has 1 minute left to bid
- You could put in a bid that's just slightly more than $999. If someone bids against you then you know you've got competition. It'll also mean you've got it in your watched items and you'll get a notification sent to your email a few hours before the end of action. I log in about 1/2 hour before end of auction. I then wait until about 5 minutes before auction ends and refresh the page every minute until I'm about 90 seconds away from end (check your desktop clock is the same as ebay's) I put in the amount I'm willing to pay and click "bid now" then bring up my desktop clock. I don't confirm bid until about 20 seconds before the end. It's called sniping and some people don't think it's fair but I consider it tactics. It doesn't always work as sometimes another bidder has already entered a higher bid. Good Luck
- you should place your bid at the last second so that people don't have time to react . Also you could try finding a misspelled auction for a car could save you money . try http://www.yourtypos.com
