What Real Estate Agency is best for new agents?
I am interest in becoming a real estate agent in the Chicago Area. But every broker claims there program is the one that is the best. Anyone out there an agent in the chicago area or an agent in any state. Is there anything I should look for in an agency beside the fee and commission structure. Anyone know anything about Weichert?

- Every office manager gets a bonus for every new agent they enlist. therefore they will tell you anything to get you. Since they are guaranteed money to get you, and you are guaranteed nothing in return, here is a list of questions you should ask them: 1. How is floor time determined? How many hours a week will I be on floor duty? 2. What support in terms of advertising listings, computer tech support, and other sales agent support do you provide? 3. How do you dole out referals and leads amongst the agents? 4. What % of the office's business is done by Relo? 5. What are your requirement to be a rel specialist? 6. What is the split on relo's? 7. do you assess agents any special fees, like technology fees, or lockbox / signage fees? 8. within this market, how does this office rank in sales?
- Totally depends on the types of real estate you want to sell i.e. residential, commercial etc. Also depends on the geographical area you are in and what slice of the market you want to concentrate on...final issue is how long can you afford to work without a paycheck while you establish a client base? Ultimately 100% commission shops like REMAX allow you to make the most money and control your own business but require more capital to get started...you'll need to negotiate with prospective brokers so that you start with a smaller split and determine in advance what marks you need to hit to get more of your commission if you go with a traditional broker....Highly suggest you read "Three Fundamental Reasons Negotiators Fail" (Find it on the internet) and also consider Downloading an e-copy of Influence - Rapport - Results that book will help you succeed faster...
- You can discuss it with the real estate agent, so ask it from them. For more guides refer http://www.realestatescore.us/
