Job and housing discrimination - please help?

My mother was trying to find out about real estate auctions-she contacted one place and when the woman she spoke to realized she was black she changed her tone and told her there weren't going to be any auctions till November. My mother just found about some auction that happened last Saturday after the fact, it was on the news. I am registered with a local temp agnecy and almost every time I contact them they tell me most or all of the jobs have been filled. I am wondering if they are saying this because they don't feel I'm qualified for most of the jobs they advertise in the local newspaper almost every week, or if they are biased against me because I am black. What organizations should my mom and I contact if there's a case of housing and job discrimination? I know there are some organizations out there. Please help.

1. How do you know it was because she was black? It could have been for any number of reasons. I think you are just assuming it is because your black or you are trying to play the race card to get your way.
