How exactly does eBay work with bidding on stuff?
If the starting bid is 1 dollar, and I bid 2 dollars. Lets say I win that auction, does this mean I only pay 2 dollars plus shipping prices?

- If you win the auction, that's what will happen.
- Yes that is right because all you bidded was 2$ but the seller can choose to not sell the item and not take your money aswell Edit: 2$ becasue that is what you bid*ed and perhaps your bid was so high that no one even wanted to bother for example if a ipod nano has a starting bid of $.01 and you bid 50$ on it and no one else bids you would still pay 50$ for it becasue the seller will not give it to you for $.01 anyways even if it was that way
- no then i think u only pay 1 dollar. ebay has a high bid thing, it works like this: lets say a high bid for an item is 1 dollar. You bid 100 dollars. that means 100 dollars is you high bid. You only have to pay 1 dollar. Someone else pays 5 dollars. your high bid is 100 so ur still winning, but u pay just enough to win. Check it out on the help
- Yes. Whatever the amount you won the item at, that is all you will have to pay for it, plus shipping and handling.
