How do you tie a karate belt?

I am starting karate, and need to learn how to tie the belt.

3. The belt goes around the waste twice and then is tied in a square knot. The knot-hole is pointing to your left side if tied correctly. There are several ways to tie the Obi correctly. It is not something that can be clearly explained in words. You can find videos of it on the web. The easiest way is to simply ask your instructor to teach you how.
4. you should ask one of your instructors, do not be afraid to not know things. you are a beginner, it is your role to not know things, ask questions and learn answers so that one day you may pass the knowledge on to others. many schools, ranks and systems have different methods and etiquette with the obi (belt) best of luck, enjoy your training
