How to find local auctions?

I am selling my hot wheels collection and I was wondering how I should go about finding where and when local auctions(specifically toy auctions) are held. wow. seriously? the only answer i got was a person trying to scam me?

1. Your best luck would be to advertise and hold your own auction. It could work. You could warn bidders that the auction would only be held if at least 5 bidders had signed up by 24 hours in advance. All the "local" auction houses want to sell furniture and art and the belongings from abandoned storage units. They won't get you a good price for your collectibles.
