scottsdale discount golf?

I am headed to Scottsdale and will have 9/25 - 10/3 available for golf. I have checked many courses and most are quite pricey. Do you have any suggestions regarding cheaper courses or discounts?

1. i played out there last year at a place called legends trail. it wasnt too bad and if you need to rent clubs they give you brand new nike's for i think $25 or something like that. it was a great course and i highly recommend it. good luck.
2. Golfnow.com -- Always cheaper booking on there. The munis are ok if you're really looking to get off cheap. After all the renovations, Papago Park is the best of the munis. The ASU course, Karsten is an decent Dye course and a little cheaper than most.
