What automotive drive belt brands are the best?
Looking to put new belts on my truck. Ive heard of Bando, Dayco, gatorback etc.... ITs For a 2000 Nissan Frontier Xe v6 3.3L 82,000 miles. I dont want cheap brands lookin for the good stuff and also where to get it.

- As a design engineer with a major automotive OEM, i would say without hesitation, Dayco is the best brand for your tensioner belt. Its very durable and should be available at any Autozone.
- I would also agree. OEM is best. I also have a Nissan (240sx) I go with OEM or JDM. OEM original equipment manufacturer. JDM Japanese Domestic Market I would go with the Dealership. Go to WestCovina Nissan www.thenismoshop.com Drive belts are cheap anyway, go with OEM or JDM.
- If you want a good brand without spending a ton of money, give some thought the Gates line of belts. In particular, the Gates Greenstripe XL series.
- But it from the dealer!!! American rubber, unfortunately, is not the best for longevity. OEM lasts longer and fits right every time!!!
