How can I tell what Amp alternator I have?
I have a 2003 chevy avalanche. To find out which belt I need, I need to know what size alternator. it's either, DAYCO Part # 5060923 {Effective Length 92.32" / Top Width .82" / Number of Ribs 6} Multiple Accessory, w/105 Amp Alt. or DAYCO Part # 5060930 {Effective Length 93.00" / Top Width .82" / Number of Ribs 6} Multiple Accessory, w/145 Amp Alt. Can you tell by looking at the alternator?

- get them both, put on the right one and return the other. or take the old one to the store with you.
- the rated amps are stamped into the case on the alternator. there will be a number followed by the letter A
- see if there is a serial # on the alternator and then the parts store will be able to tell by that or just take your belt off and take it to the parts store.
