- Have you considered Craig's List or E Bay?
- ebay
- take pictures and put them on your local craigslist site. www.craigslist.com (every town has a craiglist site)
- Try to see if you're able to get any info on the items online, so that you can figure out the approximate value. Most buyers of antiques already know the value of what you're selling and will offer you much less than what it's worth. Find out the name of the company who made them, how many were produced, etc. Then try to go to an antique buyer and get their opinion. I would suggest going to a few...And bring somebody with you who is rather discerning. Hold out for the highest possible payout too...
- Try selling on ebay or amazon.
- you can try an ebay seller--soemnone that will sell it for you on ebay--but they take a heft commission or try yourslef look in the yellow pages for an antiques dealer--i have one come to my house to give an appraisal
- I think you'd better link to Some NGOs or Charity for assistance rather than trying to sell them off for you. Wish you best, http://www.kchocatholiccommunity.20fr.com Malaysia
- Can you get out and about? The best place to go is a local antiques dealer, they'll give you a good valuation, any possibly arrange a visit to an auction house. The rocking chair should be auctioned, as you won't get a good price for it on ebay. The shipping is terrible, and things like that are very expensive to insure. Furniture always gets a better price in person, because furniture has a 'feel' to it, if you know what i mean. The china, depending on age and condition, might be best sold through ebay. It's not too heavy, and it will reach a very wide audience. That's very simple to set up and deal with. The best thing you can do at the moment, trawl around the internet. See what similar things are selling, and see for how much. That way, you have a good idea of what you can expect from the auction / dealer. Good luck !
- I would try E-Bay. I know the man who sold a ghost in a jar on that site. You could probably sell things like that and keep your antiques lol.
- What does "I'm disabled." have to do with the rest of the question? All it does is confuse the auto-category.
- Call some local antique stores in your era to see if the will help you set a reasonable price for your things. I found one here in Vegas that gives free estimates once a month as a local sevice. They give you the option of leaving your things with them to sell for a 45%cut or just tell you what they would sell them for. after finding out the going prices, graigslist or e-bay would be my next step.
