Can I really make money through e-bay or yahoo auctions?

I'm seriously in need of money....I'm planning to sell my old clothes and electrical items at e-bay/yahoo auctions but i'm not sure it's effective... This is my first time so i need some advice......Help!!!

2. go to the ebay catagories you plan on selling on. look for similar items that you have and see if they are selling, if they are selling for others they will probably sell for you. good luck.
