John D, your Desert Eagle question?

I tried to answer with an email, but it wouldn't send, so, hopefully John D, you will see this. Well, they are pretty bulky, and have a bad rep of jamming problems. The fact that it fires rimmed rounds (.357 Mag, .44 Mag,) plus the gas operation system contributes to the jamming majorly. I have heard of some DE's that can't so through a mag without jamming. Another cause of jamming is the fact that most revolver rounds (357 Mag, .44 Mag) usually have flat noses and exposed lead which cause the round to not feed properly. I see no reason in spending good money on a DE: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=141707080. Let's say you are using it for handgun hunting, and you chose a .44 Mag. I would suggest that you chose a revolver instead: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=141526442, first reason, it will save you at LEAST $200, second, the revolver will be more accurate, third, it will be was easier to hold because the grip is considerably better shaped, fourth, the revolver will be lighter at around 2.5-3 lbs, the DE will weigh about 4.2, there is many more reasons that I could sit here and spout, and all of them apply to every use you could possibly imagine for this pistol. But I have things to do. The ONLY advantage I can see to the DE over a revolver is you have 2 extra rounds. But what for if you can't hit anything right? I suspect though, that you are just buying one to take to the range and have some fun? Because your think it would be cool to tell your friends that you have a DE? I will admit, it is fun to explode pumpkins, but it isn't fun when you jam up every three shots. Ammo is super expensive too, wow, the cheapest would be .357 Mag but still way pricey, and the most expensive is .50 AE. PLEASE don't tell me you want a .50 AE Desert Eagle! Do you realize it costs $8.00 per magazine? I mean literally! BANG! One dollar! BANG! Two dollars! BANG! Three dollars! BANG! Four dollars! etc, . . . you get the point . . . But whatever, it is a free country, thank God, and past brave (and some who weren't brave at all but did it anyway) Americans who gave their live so you could live yours, so, buy what you want, it isn't my business. But I wouldn't ever spend good money on a DE. Sincerely, Jason If anyone else has anything to argue or add, please do. As I said, I tried to email, but it wouldn't send. If you add good info, I will give you best answer.
