Any discount in buying airline tickets in bulk?

We are planning a trip to europe in spring to get married. Total of about 15 people going but we cant afford to pay $1000 for each person's airline ticket. are there any alternatives like going through a travel agent? thanks for any suggestions.

2. If you contact the airline you want to travel with,ask for their groups department who will offer you a group fare. However,the discounts are based on the standard economy fares and they can often be more expensive than seats that you can pick up in a seat sale.
