What happens after I bid on ebay?

I plan on placing my first bid on an item on ebay, but it is my first time trying it out. I'm trying to wait till there is 10 minutes left and actually put a bid on it because I really want the item and I don't want the price to be too high. However, if I try to place a bid, is it automatic? I just place a bid and it shows up on the list after I refresh? Or after I press "place bid", and I confirm it, is it going to ask me questions or ask me to sign up for a paypal or something? Someone please get back to me quickly!

  1. no its not going to ask you any thing, if you win it will email you. so will the owner of the item. just follow their instructions on the page they email you. be sure to make sure when bidding that what payments they take. they may only take paypal. its safe and free to use.
  2. after you confirm your bid it will list you as the highest bidder if you win then it will let you know and give you the option on how to pay for it good luck hope you win
  3. when you place a bid on ebay youll have to sighn into my ebay and then bid but id wait till 1 min till so youll usally get it
  4. If you win the bid, you will be notified in your email that you have it. Be patient, though. I just got notification a last Friday about something I bid on about a week and a half before. Next, you will pay for the item; there will be a link in the notification that you can click on. Typically, buyers only accept pay-pal though some do take money orders. It should say in the description of the item you bid for. Depending on the item, buy insurance. I haven't had a problem without it yet but then, I don't spend a lot of money there. You also get to choose the type of shipping as well. The buyer SHOULD mail it with a tracking number. This assures the buyer you received it and use the same thing if you are paying by money order--you can make sure they receive it. Just follow the instructions carefully and you'll have no problem. If you get stuck, on the page somewhere will be a link to their help section. Upper right, I think--not sure but it'll be there.
