  1. Does anything you type in the search bar automatically show up in all of the links? If anything you type in the search bar, like 'italian pottery dinnerware' shows up in all the links on the page, then you may have some type of spyware that is causing this. I saw it once and it's AWFUL, whatever you type in the search bar becomes a part of each and every link, which of course makes you want to click on it. Try typing in 'I love monkeys' or something wierd like that, and if all the links on the page say 'I love monkeys' then you've got something to get rid of. I'm not sure what's best to recommend but I liked spyhunter.
  2. To find this info online, try modifying your search criteria. I might use something like "antique italian dinnerware patterns." Google tends to have more appropriate results. Also, search specifically on the name of the pattern on the back of the plate. Finally, you might be able to find a good collector's book at larger bookstores, although it's dependent on the popularity of the pattern you have as to whether there will be a specific collector's book for that potter. Good luck!
