Should I put the bidding starting price down to 99c on ebay?

I'm new to selling on ebay and I initially put the starting price at 5.00 and noone is bidding. Should I put the starting price down to .99c to get the bidding going? I'm selling comic books.

1. The absolute lowest I would start the minimum bid on is a break even level not a loss. You might want to check similar items and see what they're selling for and price in the same ball park.
2. no way atleast $2.00 these are comic books not just pieces of paper with words on them.
3. 99 cents is good, but set a reserve price at what price you want to sell it for. It will only sell if it reaches that price. I think you can give a bidder a second chance to buy it if they are the highest. The only problem is that you have to pay ebay fees if it does not sell. Be sure to charge enough for shipping and handling to cover ebay costs.
