is it appropriate to do a follow up on a construction bid?

i have a handyman business and i give a lot of bids. i just wanted to get some insight from others to see if it's appropriate to do a follow up call to see if they are still interested in getting the work done.

1. It is always appropriate to do a follow up on any bid, construction or otherwise. It is a normal standard business practice. I hope this helps.
