Is there a good book about how to bid construction jobs and how to target customers?

  1. My response is based on U.S. practices. Although I don't know if books are available (I highly doubt books on this topic are written), there's something even better, and that's assistance from your state's department of economic development or similar office. Most states constantly offer programs that will teach you about the bidding process, submitting bids online and by mail, and other techniques to create a winning bid package. I believe that books about construction bidding don't exist because each U.S. state has different guidelines, so no book can encompass the rules for every territory. You're interested in a field that's highly competitive, and at the same time, the economy makes it a great time for you to learn about the bid process and start winning contracts. Good luck to you.
