I am bidding online in an auction and need a little help with a macbook?

The MacBook I am bidding on says it needs the OS re-installed. To re-install the OS, would it cost any money? Please Help. It doesn't say anything about it coming with any cd or anything. How much does the latest version of Mac OS cost ?

1. It may do, but Mac OS's are dirty cheap thou (compared to Windows). You can probably find the new ones for about £50 (new), the old ones even cheaper
2. You need to buy a new OS disk from Apple (or someone else) and reinstall the thing. From scratch.

4. http://www.apple.com/macosx/ Snow Leopard (10.6) is $29 and Im pretty sure you can install it without Leopard (10.5)

6. I don't mean to be cruel so don't be offended but the fact you asked this question tells me you should not buy anything that does not have the OS installed and fully functional.
