Would BHO have had a better chance to secure the bid for the olympics if he sent ACORN and threatened suing?
I think ACORN and threatening law suits and starting the racists accusations would have served him better. Don't you think?

- yes- that's exactly it. You are brilliant. Thank you for an interesting perspective, and your valuable contribution.
- Lets send them to Iran instead to stop the nuclear proliferation there i would love to see that on the T.V.
- Pathetic.
- Why Chicago thought it had a chance was a mystery to me. Since the Mayor had already secured the Federal Government picking up the tab for any cost overages, I'm happy they lost. I am a little sick of paying for the spread of corrupt Chicago politics and it's politicians.
- after the last 8 years and the fickle at the China Olympics,America is without any chance of hosting anything...
- All the above! I'm still in shock! Our President....who hates us...flies to Copenhagen and barters our national prestige and his own for a Olympic spot for Chicago! AND DOESN"T GET IT! A SITTING PRESIDENT! What a buffoon! You'd think there would be other issues he'd be concerned with. This fellow is an embarrassment! There are reliable indications that Carter may go to his grave knowing that HE was not the worst President in the history of this country.
- Maybe some bucktooth backwoods sister loving redneck republican should have gone.
- He wouldn't have stood any better chance with this fictional scenario than he would have without them. The issue was decided long ago in IOC backrooms. Brazil is part of BRIC, and as such is more important than any of the other countries in the running. Even the two children killed last week in Chicago in random acts of violence didn't affect the outcome. Would you have a better chance of understanding US politics and the world if you stopped focusing on unimportant trivia which has zip to do with the country or the world's situation? I suspect the answer would be yes. I also doubt that you will avail yourself of this option.
