Is bidfun.com a scam or is it actually a good bidding site?
I have been looking online to see if there were any cheaper solutions to buying a PS3 slim and I came across bidfun.com. All the bids are way way cheaper than ebay or any other bidding site online and I am not sure if it's legit or not....

- Hi, It's absolutely legit and not a scam. The difference in the price paid is made up by the fact that all bids cost one "credit", and there is only winner, so the bids of all participants contribute to the cost of the item. It also means that you may pay to bid and not win the item, so you need to devise the right strategy to decide when and how to bid in order to be the last bidder.
- MOST DEFIENTLY a SCAM! They say it says everywhere that you buy your “credits” for approx. 1$ apiece and that is how you bid and they are right it does say that…. BUT NO WHERE does it say…. If you do not win you DO NOT get your credits back to bid one something else and your money is GONE! DO NOT do this it is sincerely a JOKE!
- Definitely a Scam. If the item gets bid up to say, $50.00, that means that bidders have paid BidFun about $5,000.00 during the bidding process. The reason is that to bid it up one penny costs the bidder one Dollar. Most people will not realize how much it is costing them to bid, or how long it may take them. Since each bid extends the bidding by 20 sseconds, the 5,000 bids it took to bid it up to $50 took : 5000/3 = 1,667 minutes = over 27 hours. Quite a long day.... A clever scam designed to fool the innocent. Steer clear and good luck, Chris
- It’s my opinion that it is a scam. I don’t think anybody wins. They collect money up front and you bid your credits on the different items. After watching for about a month I don’t think I’m bidding against real people. The way items end way below retail leads me to believe that it’s just an elaborate program where the computer always wins. People see the prices and more people want to purchase bids. There's no way to strategize on when to bid and how often. I think the program just chews up your bids until you quit or go purchase more. I’ve dropped only $50 and purchased 115 bids. I have 50 left and I’m trying to work the system but once that’s gone I’m done. I’m not falling any deeper for this scam. Oh, and how fitting that the only positive post is from the owner of the site. Next we'll probably have someone posting claiming to be a winner.
