Anyone tried out the North American Arms folding revolver?

I saw a neat looking little gun at a gun store nearby. It's the North American Arms .22 folding revolver. Has anyone seen this? Has anyone fired it? I'm getting my CCW this week and this looks like a good concealed carry weapon. The guy at the gun shop said he has a customer who bought it and likes it, but I want some objective opinions. A link to a picture of the gun is here: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=139330834#PIC

  1. I actually am somewhat of a NNA Mini revolver collector, I have several. The pockt clip is OK, but it is a bit bulky. I purchased one about a year ago and didnt care for it. It can be purchased seperately. The revolver itself is a super piece of equipment, very well made and NAA has awesome customer service. The .22 LR mini is small enough to comfortably fit in the 5th pocket (little pocket in the front right) of a pair of jeans. I would adivse you get the .22 mag, its about 1/8" longer barrel, but the grip is also a tiny bit larger. Of the lineup, my favorite is the PUG, its sometimes harder to find, but the grip is more substantial and its chambered in .22 Mag. I have several pocket holsters for them. I find the NAA brand inside pants holster works well too. Check on Ebay for pocket holsters, they are usually fairly inexpensive, i paid $20 for a new leather inside pocket holster with some nice western looking stampwork (jscustomleather or something similar). The kydex molded ones are nice too. Just keep in mind that there are definate limitations to the .22LR and mag for self defense, but the trade off is these guns go literally anywhere (that its legal to go). The Mag is a better CCW choice the the LR, it has much more power and there are better ammo choices for it. NAA also has a good website, check out the pug if you havent seen it. PS: my one repair issue was with a black widow, it wasnt firing consistantly. One or two misfires per cylinder. I sent it back to NAA and about 2 weeks later, I was sent a whole new pistol, case and an extra grip plus a hand written note from the gunsmith. The one i sent in was about 5 yrs old and very well used. WOW!
