I am looking for discount airline tickets... does anyone know how to get them?

I hope someone can help me out... I am looking for discount airline tickets, because I have heard that some people know some "secret," but legal ways to get them. Anyone want to share any ideas?

Quite honestly, if I had such a "secret" that I was able to use to always get tickets at a much lower price than usual, I would never share it in a public forum such as this - wouldn't be secret after that. I think that most of those so-called secret ways are either fake or do not get any significant discount from already available discounts.

5. There is no secret buddy, just become an employee of an airline or be the immediate next of kin of an employee and you're eligible for all sorts of discounts. I used an ID90 on Alitalia to fly to Boston just this last weekend.
6. I don't think there is such a secret but here are some bits of advice; 1. Always try to book as far in advance as you can. Airlines will generally book seats for between nine and ten months in advance. 2. Shop around on the net for good prices 3. Use an independent agent to help as they have access to more companies than the high st branded agents 4. compare any flight offers with the airline's own website for a reality check.
7. HAHAHA Anyone can have a discount ticket.....by them several months in advance or get a job at an airline company..... I am a travel agent and cannot get discount tickets for my friends, because there are NO discount tickets. What you see on airlines' website, this what you get. Only consolidators may have lower price fare, but none are for trips within USA, only overseas and are mostly restricted.
8. To answer the question "I am looking for discount airline tickets" you are going to have to dig deep. of course you can find great deals from travel agents, and some promiment travel websites. However, the secrets you are talking about involve getting deals from a current or former airline employee. That is how people fly for so cheap, and it is the exact method that I have used. A guy named Tony Morrison can hook you up with his method, that is what I would suggest. That is how I have gotten some great deals.
