3 day recission for auto purchase at pick-n-pull?
I purchased a car from pick/pull on tuesday....no plates so i couldn't test drive but they assured me clear title and operable..registered it with DMV today so i could actually drive it and immediately having transmission probs..do i have a right to exercise this law and get my money back even though it was sold "as is"? Are they obligated to disclose any probs prior to sale? Can I return car within 3 days for full refund?....HELP! Tommorrow will at l:30 pm w/be 3 days exactly so i have to act fast....armed with my rights..please offer any suggestions...likely they will offer me a discount on parts but tranny's are expensive to replace and install....again HELP! thanks in advance

- do i have a right to exercise this law and get my money back even though it was sold "as is"? ========= What law? No, sold AS IS means just that. Are they obligated to disclose any probs prior to sale? Can I return car within 3 days for full refund? ============= No, sold AS IS means just that. If you're not car savvy, you bit off more than you can chew. There is NO law regarding return cars within 3 seconds, 3 minutes, 3 days...ANY length of time after purchasing a car. We know this. We debunk this legend ALL THE TIME. Once again, know what you are doing BEFORE you dive into this stuff. You know this for next time. Suggestions? Enjoy your purchase and buying a transmission for said purchase. Rights? Covered that. You have none after you autograph the relevant paperwork. Ooops.
- Lets see, you bought a car as is, tore it up and now don't want it anymore ? Too bad. What did you think as is means ? Hint, it doesn't mean a 3 day money back guarantee !
- Yes, there is a 3 day rescission also known as cooling off period...... had you bought the car from a door to door salesman. Law only applies to home solicitations so unless the deal was struck inside your living room you're out of luck. When you buy something AS-IS you're agreeing to take the good, the bad and the ugly. Just because the bad and the ugly rear their ugly heads does not mean you can now cry about it. Well you can but its your problem because you bought it AS-IS. Which is why you should always have a mechanic inspect it. I mean would you buy a home without having it inspected for cracks, termites and mold? Didnt think so.
- There's no 3-day right of rescission on an auto sale. Once more, There's no 3-day right of rescission on an auto sale. Repeat after me: There's no 3-day right of rescission on an auto sale. You have absolutely no right to return the vehicle, demand a refund, or anything else. YOU BOUGHT A CAR FROM A SALVAGE YARD IN AS IS CONDITION!
