Where do I enter the amount I'm willing to pay for an automatic bid on ebay?

I'm really confused and I really hate when I have to go back and keep entering a new amount but get outbid. I understand the concept but I don't know where I would enter the amount! Thanks for helping! Yeah but I don't wan't it to go up automatically. I just wan't it to gradually go up.

1. Just put in your highest bid - the system will go up to that automatically.
2. Wait till the last minute or 2 and put in your maximum bid. The system will only take as much as it needs to outbid the highest bidder by one increment, if you still lose then someone will have placed a higher bid than yours (even though it seems like pennies they could have placed £10 higher) Or use sniping sofware- they are plenty of free sniping tools (but are not always reliable lately) Google it
